Monday Monitoring Session, South Lanarkshire

, Start Time: 10:00, End Time: 14:00

Join the Badgers in the Landscape project for our Monday Monitoring Session! We'll be visiting a series of key setts in South Lanarkshire to check and record activity levels. Sett visits will be repeated throughout the year to build up a picture of sett use over time and to allow us to more quickly flag up any issues to the relevant authorities.

As well as doing your bit to protect badgers from threats, sett monitoring is a great way to better understand badgers and their habits.  There is so much seasonal variation in badger activity and setts can fall in and out of use all the time – you never know what you’re going to find!

Sessions will run from 10AM – 2PM and reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed. The sessions are open to all members of Scottish Badgers and/or those who have attended a Badgers for Beginners course with us through the project. If you would like to find out more about sett monitoring, or sign up to help out at this session, please contact the Project Officer on or tel: 07565 813 401.
