Volunteers required for group badger surveys!

Posted on

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE dates & locations for our group surveys for the first part of 2016.

Please see below for a list of 33 surveys planned over the next four months.  If you would like to get involved, please check the schedule below and get in touch with the Development Officer to sign up for the survey(s) of your choice. For those wishing to build up experience as part of our Level One training scheme, all surveys listed below will have an experienced surveyor approved by Scottish Badgers who can sign your experience log.

We need lots of eyes on the ground to locate setts in these key areas where badger data is lacking, so any help you can provide by attending our surveys is much appreciated.  Our group surveys are friendly & informal events where you can meet with other members, brush up on your survey skills and do your bit to protect Scotland's badgers, their setts & natural habitats.

For insurance purposes, our surveys are open to members only. However, if you are not yet a member of Scottish Badgers but may be interested in coming along to try out a survey with us before joining, please get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Keep an eye on our 'What's On' section for future survey dates to be added. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to stay up to date with our activities, news and events.
