Scottish Badgers seek to recruit Project Officer

Title: Project Officer – ‘Volunteers, Engagement, and Urban Nature’
Closing date; May 10th
Interview date; May 27th
Location : Home-based (with extensive travel in the Central Belt of Scotland)
Post Status: Full-time (35 hours), fixed term of two years nine months
Salary: SJC AP5 - £23,232 - £24,903


Description: To work on an SNH-funded project, to increase badger awareness across various audiences, to recruit skilled volunteers, and to establish a programme of public participation with regard to badger knowledge across the central belt. To deliver high quality badger training programmes, events and activities  to a range of audiences.  

Person Specification: Educated to degree level; experience of working with volunteers, and in community participation; work or volunteer experience of managing projects, and keeping to deadlines; preferably experience and knowledge of conservation issues; badger experience desirable; excellent communication and presentational skills required; good I.T. skills
