Big Badger Fundraising Weekend success!

We are delighted to report that we raised a massive £5800 through our Big Badger Fundraising Weekend. The event took place over the weekend of 11-13th September 2020 as part of the Virtual Kiltwalk. Fundraisers from TEAM BADGER ran, climbed, walked, kayaked and 'sett monitored' through the weekend with valiant efforts all round!
This initiative was undertaken to recoup funds lost through cancelled summer events. Elaine Rainey, Project Officer for Scottish Badgers says:
"Our Summer events programme is a key fundraising and awareness raising avenue for our small charity. With all of our usual events cancelled this year, we wanted to do something fun to engage new audiences and raise funds for the charity. The amount raised was way beyond our expectations and will really help us continue our work protecting Scotland's badgers during these difficult and unprecedented times."

We would like to say a big badger THANK YOU to everyone who helped us beat our fundraising target including the brilliant TEAM BADGER fundraisers who undertook such gruelling personal challenges, everyone who donated so generously and to The Hunter Foundation for matching donations pound for pound - such incredible generosity all round!
If you didn't manage to get involved in our first ever Big Badger Fundraising Weekend, we've got something else lined up and coming soon. Stay tuned for more information ...
