New partnership project with the Scottish Wildlife Trust begins

Posted on

At the beginning of April, work began on our new skills development project 'Earn your Stripes - building skills to champion wildlife'. With support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, this project will be delivered in partnership with Scottish Wildlife Trust, building on the success of our partnership working via the national badger hub at Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve & Visitor Centre in New Lanark.

This new 3-year project will focus on engaging with those who traditionally face barriers to environmental volunteering by offering new and unique opportunities to get involved. Elaine Rainey was appointed as Project Officer following the interview process in February.

Elaine says:

"We’ve been busy meeting with potential referral partners and we can’t wait to start a whole new chapter of focused, pro-active engagement to increase inclusion and diversity within our activities."
